Real world, hands-on training to boost the future of young entrepreneurs

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) fosters the next generation of leaders through the transformative experience of building a startup. This extracurricular program for exceptional high school students provides participants with the essential business and leadership skills to prepare them to succeed in college and beyond.

BENEFITS

Students achieve their goals through a rigorous and proven curriculum - taught by leading startup owners, venture capitalists, and educators. Young leaders grow their entrepreneurial and collaborative skills culminating in a dynamic pitch competition.

Teams gain up to $5K in seed funding, and the winning team is invited to compete at the TYE Global Competition.

Asit Goel

Asit is the Founder and CEO of SammyOps, a smart fleet management platform and mobile app for owners of mixed fleets in construction and related trades. He is a graduate of Harvard’s Executive Education program for leadership skills and served on the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi. He won the Global Emerging Leaders Award by Asian MBA International (AMBA) in 2015, and earned a Master of International Marketing (MIM) at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management

Girish Juneja

Girish is a General Management executive with cross-functional experiences in building technology driven businesses. He brings extensive leadership experience in P&L management, go-to-market strategy, ISV & OEM channels, engineering, product management and product marketing. He has mentored Aqua-Sol and Telepark, TiE Boston’s winning teams for 2022-23 and 2023-24.

Sheri Palazzo

Sheri is the Vice President of Engineering at Altaeros, a telecommunications company that aims to bring affordable connectivity to rural communities and underserved populations. She previously worked as the Engineering Manager of Productivity & Sustaining at GE Oil & Gas and has led product creation for multiple innovations—ranging from consumer headphones at Bose to telecommunications platforms at Altaeros. She earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from Northeastern University.

Philip Toussaint

Philip is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ecopreneur Media, a media production company dedicated to increase environmental awareness in the business industry and provide valuable insight into environmental issues faced today. He is also COO of Nomads with Solutions, an all-around digital agency run by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. He was previously a researcher for Boston Medical Center (BMC) and received an award for research on AIDS with Haitian American Responsible Teens (HART). He earned a double bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) and Environmental Studies (BA) from Stonehill College.

Tuan Ho

Tuan is CEO and Co-Founder of Scholar Jet, an education management platform for workers to enhance their skill sets and get recruited by up-and-coming innovation and technology companies. Tuan was named a Forbes Top 30 Entrepreneur Under the Age of 30 in the US (a.k.a. Forbes 30 Under 30) and is a Yawkey Foundation Scholar, a National Association of Asian American Professional Scholar, and a Greater Boston Real Estate Board Scholar. Tuan was awarded with the Young Leader In Recognition at the age of 15 from the Harvard Institute of Politics, and was named the Priscilla Chan Stride Fellow from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative as well as the Spark Impact Winner for Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Mayor Walsh of Boston. He graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS).

Travis is an expert in Fashion, Finance, Foods, Technology and has developed into a fantastic TYE mentor over the past few years.

Seshubabu is a seasoned CTO/architect with 24 years of experience in a variety of cross-functional areas, including team building, architecture, hands-on implementation, rapid prototyping, security, mentoring, pre-sales, product management, customer success, marketing, and IT tasks. His experience helping startups grow from the ground up, scaling from single digits to hundreds of employees, is apparent in his TYE mentorship success.

Lakshmi is an accomplished technology leader who excels at delivering complex, mission critical products. She has Deep Program and project management skills, excellent communicator at all levels, experienced leader and manager. With experience in pioneering the startup of new organizations, and success in leading and maturing innovation projects, she has emerged as a very effective TYE Mentor.

Anjali is CEO and Co-Founder of Diesel Labs, a Cambridge-based content analytics provider for the marketing and media industry. She has previously worked as the Global Media & Agency Research Director at Twitter. She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Harsha Prakki

Harsha Prakki

Harsha, a proud TYE alum, is the Founder of Qualtags and brings valuable experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, and Agile Methodologies. Harsha’s career has led her through the Health, Life Sciences, and Public sectors, contributing to sales, procurement, and client project delivery as a consultant in IT implementations. Beyond IT consulting, Harsha works with food supply chain technology, where she developed a POC for an IoT-based cold chain monitoring solution.
